# Zero Exponent

How to solve zero exponent problems: examples and their solutions.

## Example 1

If the exponent is 0,

then the value of that number is 1.

So 2^{0} = 1.

If the exponent is 0

and the base (-*a*) is not 0,

then (-*a*)^{0} = 1.

## Example 2

*y*^{0} = 1.

And (-3*xy*)^{0} = 1.
