Vertical Angles (Opposite Angles)

Vertical Angles (Opposite Angles)

How to solve vertical angles problems: property, example, and its solution.

Find the value of x. The measures of angles of vertical angles: 6x - 10, 56.

Vertical angles, or opposite angles,
are angles formed by two intersecting lines.
(Those two lines don't have the same slope.)

Vertical angles are congruent.
(= Their angle measures are the same).
So 6x - 10 = 56.
