# Conjunction

How to solve the conjunction of two statements problems: its truth values, examples, and their solutions.

## Truth Value

*p* ∧ *q* is the conjunction of *p* and *q*.

It means '*p* and *q*'.

So *p* ∧ *q* is true

if both *p* and *q* are true.

## Example 1

'*p*: 5 is a positive number' is true.

'*q*: 1 + 1 = 3' is false.

So '*p* ∧ *q*' is false.

## Example 2

'*p*: 5 is a positive number' is true.

'*r*: 4 > 2' is true.

So '*p* ∧ *r*' is true.
